5 Real NEPA Weddings with Personality and Heart

Weddings aren’t one-size-fits-all, and that’s what makes them so special. Every wedding day looks different, and that’s exactly how it should be. Over the past year or so, I’ve had the chance to photograph some truly memorable celebrations here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. From heartfelt church ceremonies to bold style choices and creative personal touches, these couples each brought their own energy and story to the day...And that’s really what it’s all about. Here's a glimpse into some details that have stayed with me.

Amy & John | Carmen’s Country Inn – Drums, PA

This day was filled with emotion and gentleness from start to finish. Amy and John’s connection felt steady and sincere, and their love story clearly meant the world to their families. From our first consultation to the final dance, it was a joy to witness something so authentic. Their country roots and love for line dancing led to a choreographed first dance complete with fog and pyrotechnics, a moment just as heartfelt as it was fun. Every part of the day reflected their love and joy.

Morgan & Michael | Honey Hole Winery – Drums, PA

Morgan and Michael had one of those perfect fall afternoons...the kind where the golden glow is just right, and the woods behind the venue felt like something out of a storybook. The bride’s style was elegant and perfectly fitting to her personality, and the details of the decor tied everything together beautifully. One moment that stood out was using the bride’s father’s car for photos, a meaningful tradition that added even more heart to the day. With attention to detail & teamwork given by their families, every detail was carefully arranged and it showed.

Chelsea & Dave | Bank + Vine – Wilkes-Barre, PA

Every detail of Chelsea and Dave’s wedding felt like them. They chose a more modest approach to photography coverage that proved perfect to capture what mattered most, proof that less can still be everything. From their jazz band to the food-driven venue choice, to a stop at the courthouse for photos, it was creative and intentional. And that dress? A blush and black silhouette that stole the show. This one was fun, stylish, and so thoughtfully designed.

Cindy & Drew | Mohegan Sun Casino – Wilkes-Barre, PA

Getting to work with past couples again is always something special, and this wedding was a reunion of sorts! We first met Cindy and Drew at her brother’s wedding, and then again through another couple in the bridal party. Seeing so many familiar faces made the day feel like an extension of past celebrations. They went with bold, classic colors of black, white, and red, which gave the day an elegant and timeless look. One moment I will never forget was the final song of the night: Proud to Be an American, with the whole dance floor swaying and singing together. It was connected and full of heart.

Lizzy & Russell | The Emerald Room at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club – Mountain Top, PA

Lizzy and Russell’s late December wedding brought a little New Year’s magic with it. They embraced a classic black-and-white palette and added thoughtful, personal touches, including a live painter creating an artwork of them and the venue throughout the night. After their ceremony, they had shared a private moment together that was truly touching and romantic, and I loved being able to document that moment for them. Their energy was contagious through the entire day, and the reception was full of fun with all the dancefloor participation you could ask for. We wrapped the evening with some stolen nighttime moments that made for a perfect end to the story.

No two weddings are ever the same because they are a unique blend of to families coming together... and that’s the part I love most about this work. Every couple brings their own history, energy, and dreams...and being trusted to document those things will never stop being a privilege.

If you’re planning your own wedding in 2025 or beyond and looking for someone who’s more about moments than posing, I’d love to chat. Let’s tell your story, your way.
