Supporting Local: Why It Matters

Gooooood Morning, Mountain Top (& Surrounding)! 👋

I'm stepping out from behind the lens today to focus on something just as fun & near to my heart... supporting local businesses. If you've been following me for a while, you know that I'm all about cheering on fellow small business owners and entrepreneurs. And what better way to do that than to shine a spotlight on the incredible businesses that make our community so awesome?

Why Local Businesses Are the Heartbeat of the Community

First off, let's talk about why local businesses are so important. They're the ones who sponsor our kids' sports teams, donate to local charities, and create jobs right here within the community. When you shop local, you're not just making a purchase; you're making an investment in the lives of your neighbors. You may not even realize it, but little things like shout outs and shares, quick purchases and referrals, all go a long way to helping these businesses stick around!

Our Role in Supporting Local Businesses

As a photographer, and multimedia service provider, I've had the privilege of working with many local businesses on their commercial photography, website design, and marketing materials. I've gotten the privilege of collaborating on projects and fundraisers that make huge impacts in people's lives, whether through skill building or providing support to a local family or individual in need. It's always amazing to see the way small businesses come together to do big things! In an effort to keep the momentum and lift up the people who I see working hard to bring their products and services to our community, I love giving shoutouts on social media, tagging businesses, and sharing things I'm working on for them. Why? Because my sentiments don't stop when I complete a job.... I believe that when one of us succeeds, we all succeed, so I'll always be cheering for my clients.

The Power of Community Recognition

Speaking of success, it was a humbling experience to win the "Best Photographer" award in last year's Mountain Peaks "Best of" contest. It was a fantastic surprise and a testament to the power of community support. This year, as I expand services, I'm aiming to continue building on the foundation of becoming a valuable resource for Mountain Top & the surrounding communities.

By the way, the Mountain Peaks "Best of" voting contest is happening right now! I encourage you to participate and cast your votes to show some love to your favorite providers. It's a great way to thank local businesses & professionals for bringing their expertise to our community! Who knows, you might even discover a new local gem in the process!

Let's Keep the Momentum Going

THANK YOU to everyone who has supported my work as Mia McGlynn Photography, and for following along as I make this transition into a bigger and bolder: McGlynn Media, LLC. Let's continue to lift each other up and make Mountain Top the best place to live, work, and play.

Keep smiling and keep supporting local! 😊
